Cystic Fibrosis is one of the UK's most common life-threatening inherited diseases. It affects over 8,500 youngsters, clogging vital organs with thick sticky mucus. There is presently no cure. We are the UK’s only national charity working for families with CF and to find a cure. www.cftrust.org.uk

Hello,

My name is Alastair Mavor. I am 19 years old and I suffer from Cystic Fibrosis.

Cystic Fibrosis is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease. It currently effects more than 8,000 peoople in the UK alone. For more information, have a look at www.cftrust.co.uk.

Last year, I fulfilled a dream in managing to complete The Flora London Marathon in 4 hours 11 minutes! Thanks to all your support I raised over £12,000 for the CF trust. Sunday 26th April 2009 will see me try to complete that challenge again. I am hoping to raise as much money as possible for the CF Trust, as well as raising the profile of the disease.
