The Master of the Curriers’ Company for 2009/2010 has chosen Hackney Family Back-Up (HFBU) as his nominated  charity, to be the object of a year-long appeal.  HFBU is a hard-working and hugely deserving charity that provides community support and social inclusion for disabled children and young people.

To do this, HFBU provides:

¨     Community based short break care services.

¨     Family support volunteering services, to support families at home, or to access community resources.

¨     Information, advice and support for families to access other services.

¨     Volunteering opportunities, giving people from the community the opportunity to volunteer their time and skills, and in return to receive training and ongoing support to learn new skills for their personal development.

¨     Events, outings and parties.

All Curriers, friends and colleagues are encouraged to contribute to this appeal either directly or by running local fund-raising events at home or at work and to give publicity to HFBU wherever they can.

This is an easy and secure way of supporting this Master’s Charitable Appeal.  Please help us to help Hackney Family Back-up help those in need in East London.
