Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I am running 17 individual 10k runs around the country ending in July 2009. Please support me as generously as you can.

I'm running them to raise awareness of the 17 babies who die each day in this country. My daughter Emmeline was born prematurely at 24 weeks and only blessed this earth for a few short hours. Like many thousands of babies each year we still don't know why she didn't survive.  The money that we raise at Sands helps fund research into why so many little ones just don't make it.

Please help Emmeline, and her friends who never made it, have a voice.

This is the day my life changed for ever

“ As I held her in my arms wrapped in a soft white blanket I took in every last moment. Her eyelashes were formed and they curled at the ends. I rested her finger on mine and looked in amazement at her finger nails. She was dressed in a pink knitted suit that was made specifically for small babies. Her tiny nappy and booties were the size of dolls. I cradled her and chatted to her but nothing came back. As her life ebbed away I clung to every minute. I had bought her into the world and I must hold her until she goes.

 That day was the saddest of my life. The day my daughter died, the path of my life changed forever. “
