Marie Curie Cancer Care provides high quality nursing totally free, to give terminally ill people the choice of dying at home supported by their families. Your local Marie Curie Hospice actively promotes quality of life for people with cancer and provides support for their families. The services are completely free to patients. World class scientists at the Marie Curie Research Institute are investigating how cancer develops to find better ways of treating the disease in the future.

Unfortunately I am unable to compete in the London Marathon 2008, HOWEVER I will now be competing in the 2009 LONDON MARATHON on 26th APRIL 2009.

A big thank you for visiting my fundraising page. On a rainy day in August 07 I had one of those “seize the day” experiences. I’ve always wanted to run in the London Marathon. From a very early age I would watch the race on TV each year. It is undoubtedly one of the world’s biggest Marathon. Legend has it that on a hot summers day 490BC the Greek runner Philippides ran 26.2 hilly miles from Marathon to Athens to deliver the news that the Athenian Army had defeated the Persians. From this story grew the modern marathon race, which is run all over the world today.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online. The money raised will help Marie Curie Cancer Care to provide support to terminally ill cancer patients and their families. It is a charity that is incredibly close to us all and can make a real difference to people’s lives by giving generously.
