Mel's RSPCA sponsored dog walk... Dogathon2008 Im walking as many RSPCA rescue dogs as I can, for at least 30minutes each, on my own and probably in the rain!!! pmsl so get yer plastic out, I proper deserve it COS I will be getting dragged about by rottweilers, Alsatians, and anything else thats BIG so it can drag me back up the hill to the centre!!))) www.rspca-lancseast.org.uk I will be doing it on Sunday 11th May 2008, proceeds to my local branch of the RSPCA,and I will also be paying a personal tribute to my auntie Winifred who sadly passed away in August 2007......she was eccentric about animals....she had MY passion, but hated human beings lol Since she died I have started dog-walking for the RSPCA.....Im doing it because I can! and I am able to contribute to both the animals and the charity.I have lots o love to give them doggys!! honestly, one has no fur cos shes been scalded with boiling liquid...but they are all safe now and they love to go out, and there's about 60 dogs there altogether!! ideally each dog should go for a walk on a daily basis....unfortunately, this doesnt always happen....they are so happy when they are out in the fields, sniffing, pee-ing and woofing!! LOL As its RSPCA week next week, I will be stood in TESCO Foyer, rattling a tin pestering people shopping to part with their cash for 4 days lol!! that's why I cant do the walk during RSPCA week, so its the sunday after!....dont come along! I have to do it alone, its policy lol ... If your lucky, I might let sum1 at centre take my pic when i have done as much walking as i can between 9am and 4pm...or until my legs fall off :'0( ok u can have a pic if you donate....
serious section>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The picture up there is Lucy, the VERY FIRST rescue dog that I took out when I started dog-walking. This is what the description on her kennel says.... "Lucy has had a difficult time prior to arriving at the Centre having had burning liquid poured all over her back. She is now well on the way to recovery after lots of TLC from the vets & Centre staff. She will need a home without children or other animals then she can have all the attention & love to herself."
NEWSFLASH*********today 10th May 2008 - during a coffee break today i was told Lucy has left the building! YES, she has gone to a new home...isnt that lovely...thats made my day that has!!!
