My personal message:

Hi everyone, I DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hurrah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Marathon Day was such an amazingly good day and a big buzz - it was a great atmosphere and a fantastic way to experience London. It seemed like all of London was out there cheering us on and the crowds just kept me going and looked after me. Leading up to the day I was worried about it because I overdid it in training - I ended up get over-exhausted and couldn't run for about 3 weeks. I had a pretty low point a month ago where I thought I wouldn't be able to do it.... I had just recovered from all this before the day. But on the day it went really well (despite pissing down at 11 miles and then again at 19!) In the end I was pretty comfortable all round (just aching muscles and painful knees) and I finished with a big smile on my face and sprinting the last 200 metres across the finish line!!! I did 5 hours 8 minutes and am very very happy with my time and so pleased with myself. I want to thank you all for your support and for helping me to raise lots of money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. A special thanks to my lovely sister who made a big effort to come down to London for me (spending all night on bloody British Rail) and gave me a massive boost on the day. Today I can't walk very well but I dont care! Lots of love, RUTHLESS xxx
