My story

Breast Cancer can affect any one of us at any time - men included. Over the last few years a few people I know have been affected. I decided it was time to do something.
The moonwalk came to my attention and I thought it would be a worthwhile thing to do and hopefully get fit at the same time
After hearing about this years’ event, I talked to my daughter and daughter in law. We all agreed that we wanted to do something so we decided that we would enter for the 2008 event.
The day for the on line entries arrived. At breakfast time on the 17th of October I was busy filling in the on line entry for the three of us. To our surprise we were accepted.
What have we done? We have committed to walking 26 miles around London with 15,000 other women and men in our underwear at night.
Over the last few months we have been training we have had our ups and downs but with determination we hope we will finish the 26 miles in about 8 hours.
The event this year will take place on 17th May 2008 starting in Hyde Park. If you would like to know more or help us to raise money for this very worthy cause either speak to one of us or use the envelopes provided.

Thank you for your support - Derryn, Emma and Libby Crookes
